Audience
To attract specific audiences you would put eye catching photographs which attracted the audience in. Also bright and bold colours for the fonts or banners would attract the audience’s eye. The front cover has to be very eye catching as it is the first thing an audience will see. To improve my knowledge of what the audience would what to see has a front cover or what they want to see it look like I would ask the people this magazine appeals to and get feedback for what they think would be suitable. The contents page would have to contain interest and exciting subjects that the audience would want to read with in the magazine. The audience I am focusing on varies from young children up to teenagers which would be mostly girls so the magazine would have to be very colourful and exciting because this would be the kind of thing children would look for and be interested in. it would also have to contain very interesting stories and the audiences favourite stars and celebrities. The genre of pop has many relationship with different people, it creates an emotional effect of the listeners and fans. People are able to realate to the music which makes the audience drawn to it. The pop genre takes a variety of tenpo of the music, therefore slow songs would make an emotial attactment to people as the songs are genrely more meaningful, where as the fast up beat ones whould still make an emotional effect but maybe more of a happy effect rather than sad. The magazines I looked at would have big photographs on the front cover of peoples idols and who people like, thier music and way of life inspires people, thier fashion and clothing would also attract the audience as they would be able to relate. By having famous people on the front cover this would attract people as they are familiar with them and reconise thier faces.

Double Page Spread Research
After analysing and annotating three front covers I have tried to discover the common features of a front cover of a magazine. I have done this research so that I can apply these features to the product that I will be producing (Music Magazine).. With this research that I have just completed, along with the research that I had looked at during the prelim task, I feel as though now I fully understand the features of a front cover of a magazine and will be able to apply them to magazine I will be producing. Below are print screens of the three researches that I conducted recently:
After showing this research I have released there are some key elements to following features of a double page spread within a magazine. These are things such as; keeping to a strict border line, using images and graphics to make the page more attractive and giving an extra insight into what is in the magazine, using images where the character is looking at the audience, using a variety of colours and fonts, the use of drop caps, avoiding dead space, , the use of cover lines and to use a masthead to clearly display what the page is and try to make this masthead clear to the audience. All of these code and conventions are ones that I will be trying to apply when creating my first drafts.

Music Magazine - Artisit research - One Direction - Genre Research
This is the final artist that I am going to be researching is ‘One Direction' . I am going to be researching their fashion, the colour that they are orientated with, their website and also their album artwork.

Music Magazine - Artisit research - Rihanna - Genre Research
I have moved onto researching artist of my chosen genre so that I can gain an understanding in what I will need to include within my magazine. I will be keeping this information through studying three different artists. These three artists that I will be studying are Rihanna, JLS and One Direction. Through studying these three artists I am hoping to gain the information such as; what type of clothing that this genre wears, the colour schemes and layouts of websites and album artwork.
